Adios Muchachos

Sunday, January 10th, 2010

Well, it’s been an interesting past couple of years here at Affiliation Cash. But this is the last of it you’ll hear from me. I’m moving on.

For the affiliates that got to know me, they already knew I wasn’t totally devoted to online marketing. Great way to make money, but doesn’t leave one with a sense of fulfillment at the end of the day if you’re after a bit more out of life than just being monetarily wealthy.

So whilst I’ll continue to keep a toe in the water, and may see some of you around the traps, like WickedFire, DP or WaFo, it will be a lot less often as I concentrate more on my own personal passions that lie elsewhere.

For those that have shared ideas with me, I thank you. It’s helped me a lot.

For those that I’ve attempted to share my own ideas with on this blog, I hope I’ve prodded you enough into thinking of some new concepts. Sorry about not giving you the answer on a silver platter, but you’d never learn to think analytically if I had. Hopefully, you got something out of all these rambling posts of mine.

Lastly, for my affiliates, Brendan, Jo, Ricky or Mark will be taking you on if you have any questions or issues now that I won’t be around to help you out with them.

See you in Elsyium - Harvey

ePassporte to go

Tuesday, December 8th, 2009

Hi folks,

Due to ongoing issues with ePassporte (which many of you being paid by it are more than aware of, I’m sure), we’re going to be dumping it as a method of payment.

We’re aware that a number of your like it a lot, especially the anonymity of it, but frankly it’s just a nightmare for us to deal with them, and their service is not getting any easier for us to work with.

As of February 28th, 2010, we will no longer be issuing payments with ePassporte.

We will still definitely offer PayPal, direct bank deposit / wire, and cheques. We are also looking into other options for a more anonymous payment method, and hope to have something for you buy then. Affiliates that do not nominate a new method of payment by then will have their payment sent by cheque.

Old programs removed

Tuesday, October 13th, 2009

Just a quick note to our valued affiliates.

A few of the programs that have become defunct due to absolutely no one using them have been removed from our offerings.

So the next time you log in, and the list of available landing pages seems greatly reduced, don’t freak out. They’re meant to be gone. No point having something around if people aren’t going to use it, right?

Changes to payment options for new affiliates

Friday, September 18th, 2009

This won’t concern the majority of our affiliates, unless you’re big on getting sub-affiliates underneath you and making money off the downline.

As of September 22nd, new affiliates will not be eligible for payments by PayPal or ePassporte until they have built a decent payment history with us.
Affiliates currently on PayPal or ePassporte will not be affected.

If there are any questions or concerns, please feel free to get in touch with Harvey or Brendan via Skype, MSN or email.

Want your site to be an Affiliate Cash Program?

Thursday, June 18th, 2009

Lately, we’ve had a lot of people asking if they can have their sites turned into programs with Affiliation Cash.

Being reasonable people, we’ve done our best to accommodate everyone as much as possible, but the volume is starting to become a bit much for us to add everyone manually. We sat down and thought a bit about what we could do, and came up with a brilliant idea!

We’ve turned the payment gateway into a program itself, put it onto its own page, and now all you need to do is iFrame it into your own site’s join page!

Seriously, great thinking or what?

The Landing Page Thumbnal

The Landing Page Thumbnal

Anyway, this feature will shortly be available to every affiliate in the Get Links section of your accounts, along with the basic instructions to iFrame into your page, because we know some of you aren’t web designers as such.

The title of this particular program is Landing Page, and is easily recognisable, as it uses the picture you see here.

We’re sure you’ll find this new way of integrating Affiliation Cash into your website will prove most helpful for the many of those of you that are relying on linking to our own sites as a sort of 3rd party.

Twitter Weekly Updates for 2009-05-31

  • Forgot that it was a bank holiday yesterday. Massive apologies to our affiliates that were left in the lurch due to this. #

Apologies for late payments

Wednesday, May 27th, 2009

We’d like to apologise to all of our affiliates for the late payment this week, particularly those outside of the US, and therefore unaware of the situation.

Payments were due to be made on the 24th. Fair enough. However, the 24th was a Sunday, and banks don’t process on a Sunday. The 25th though was also Memorial Day, an observed holiday for veterans and KIA soldiers. This too was a day that banks were not operational.

Those relying on ePassporte were further delayed by the backlog.

We really didn’t factor in the holiday and how it would slow things down.

Again, we apologise and will seek to keep affiliates informed in future of when there will be unavoidable delays in payment, network wide.

The PirateBay Verdict

Thursday, April 23rd, 2009

By now, most of you (that read the tech section) will be aware that the four wonderful individuals behind The PirateBay have been found guilty, and face a year in prison and over $900,000 in fines each. Obviously, they’re appealing, and let’s hope they win.

We just want to reassure you all, our valued affiliates, that Affiliation Cash is totally fine. Do not be alarmed by this legal decision.

For a start, we are not in Sweden, and operate under different legal institutions. The precedent set by this case will have absolutely no bearing on us whatsoever.

If you are operating your own site, and monetizing it through us though, you may want to quickly double check where the domain is registered and where the actual server box with your site on it is located. The only risk factor is that either are located in Sweden, and even then, it’s not a terribly large risk.

The irony behind this case though is that many people the world over who never knew about P2P or The PirateBay before are now fully aware of it thanks to the massive media attention this has received world wide. We are hoping this new public knowledge of how easy and efficient it is to get entertainment online will lead to more customers for you and for us.

We’re on Twitter

Tuesday, April 21st, 2009

As Twitter has become the Next Big Thing in social media and marketing, it’s foolish of us not to have an account there, even if all it does is repost the news we put up here.

Which is pretty much exactly what it will be doing.

It will also serve as a way of getting our message out there to you, our valued clients, in the event of our site going down for whatever reason.

So if you’re a Tweeter, feel free to follow us: http://www.twitter.com/AffiliationCash
